Korean Drama Review: Lie to Me

Lie to me is a romantic-comedy korean drama produced by SBS.  It totals 16 episodes.  But are all those episodes worth watching?  I think not.
Usually, a plot has twists and turns to captivate its audience.  However, around half of the 16 episodes is full of mushiness and romantic scenes which made it look a bit dragging to me.  The plot is so simple and yet the series was long.

The actresses and actors are good in acting.  I loved Kang Ji-Hwan (as  Hyun Ki-Joon) from Hong Gil Dong and Yoon Eun-Hye (Kong Ah-Jung) from Personal Taste so I had high expectations for this drama.  Overall, the actors and actresses skill did doesn't compensate for the lack of creativity in the plot and presentation.  But they did improve it.

I don't recommend this unless you're a fan of the stars.  But you might like this is you want to admire the cuteness and sweetness of others like the casts for long hours.  That's what the entire drama is all about period.

Taiwan Drama Review: Happiness is Like a Sunny Day

Sunny Happiness sometimes named as Happiness is like a Sunny Day, The Sunniest Day of Happiness or Sunshine Day.  It is a romantic comedy starred by Mike He, Janine Chang, Li Yi Feng and Zhou Zi Han.  At first glance, this show made it look interesting because all the main characters are good-looking.  Well, first impressions last because all 25 episodes were really good.

The story mainly revolves around the past and present love of the four main characters.  The plot is really exciting that I could not resist watching the next episode up to the next.  It is unique, fun and romantic as well.  This is not the typical Taiwan drama that is too childish.  This drama proves that Taiwan dramas can be mature and yet funny too.

It is a must-watch drama.   After watching it, hopefully you can answer why the title is such.  I really liked the title and its the message of the story.

Korean Drama Review: Baker King

Baker King is also known as King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo and Bread, Love and Dreams.  Baker Kings is another Korean Drama by KBS.  It comprises of 30 episodes.  It is a story about two boys and their quest to become a great baker.

What I like about Baker King is that it was able to give the audience a glance of the process of baking, how a baker trains and works and how a bakery is run.  But the story is not limited to only that.  It also about family, friendship, love and rivalry.

The plot is very well written and unique.  Despite the many episodes, I kept on being intimidated to watch the next one in excitement.  Every episode was entertaining.   The characters also develop and evolve through each episode.  How the story began and how it ended was made perfectly.

I highly recommend this to anyone.  It is definitely a must watch.  This series teaches us about of hard work, patience, forgiveness, hope and many others.  Moreover, it reveals something about life.
